About Apple security updates

For our customers' protection, Apple doesn't disclose, discuss, or confirm security issues until an investigation has occurred and patches or releases are available. Recent releases are listed on the Apple security updates page.

This wikiHow teaches you how to update Safari and get rid of the 'This version of Safari is no longer supported' messages. If you're using a Mac with OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or older, you must first purchase a copy of OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and install it on your Mac before you'll be able to update Safari. Aug 13, 2015 Apple today released OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, an under-the-hood update that introduces bug fixes. There isn't a separate link for safari 8.0.8 for yosemite because it is part of the os x 10.10.5.

For more information about security, see the Apple Product Security page. You can encrypt communications with Apple using the Apple Product Security PGP Key.

Apple security documents reference vulnerabilities by CVE-ID when possible.
